Why Now?

Thanks to your incredible support, Desert Trip was a huge success—earning a Best Visual Effects award and screening at multiple film festivals. That momentum has fueled my passion to take the next step: a project that’s bigger in scale but a natural evolution of my voice as a filmmaker. 2025: A Donner Party was inspired by two things that I am endlessly fascinated by, 2001: A Space Odyssey and The Donner Party. This dark comedy short is a satirical take on how a few poor decisions can snowball into total disaster. With your help, we can bring a bold, unique story to life.

For Individuals: If you contribute $100 or more, you will receive a PRODUCER CREDIT, meaning your name will be listed in the end credits of the film!

For Businesses: To sponsor 2025: A Donner Party and have your logo featured in the end credits as well as a special thank you in the YouTube description of the film, a $500 contribution is required. Sponsorships are subject to review and 2025: A Donner Party reserves the right to refuse a partnership.

Why are these items so expensive?

These items are priced the way they are to help raise funds for the film. Out of the $100 spent to purchase a limited edition 2025: A Donner Party shirt, about $70 will be added towards the film’s budget.

Why is there also a donation button?

A donation button has been included for those who want to contribute but might not be interested in merch.

What is a producer credit?

Your name will be listed during the end credits of the film as one of the producers.

Will I receive a producer credit on 2025: A Donner Party if I purchase Desert Trip merch?

Yes. Since Desert Trip is finished, any contribution of $100 or more will earn you a producer credit on 2025: A Donner Party.

I just donated or purchased an item, why didn’t the budget calculator increase?

The budget calculator is something our director, Victor, will be updating regularly as the website host doesn’t offer a “live donation tracker”.
